Digital Signage for Doctors’ Offices: Using Waiting-Room TV Well
Share
Why digital signage belongs in the waiting room
A screen in the waiting area informs, entertains and shortens the perceived wait. Patients get practice information, health tips and news – up to date and without a pile of magazines.
What you can show
- Opening hours, cover arrangements and holiday notices
- Exam preparation, patient education, vaccination and check-up info
- Team introductions and an overview of services
- Weather, clock and calm imagery – to ease nerves
- Optionally a queue system with waiting numbers
What to keep in mind
- Calm design, little motion – no advertising noise.
- Sound is usually off: content must work without audio.
- Privacy: don’t display patient names openly.
- Good readability from several metres away.
Getting started is simple
One screen, one player (e.g. the Amazon Signage Stick) and the lumafy CMS – done. Retrofitting an existing TV is the cheapest route. How it all fits together is shown in our digital signage guide.
